Take Action: Steps for Reporting Child Abuse
The safety and well-being of our children are of utmost importance. In Indiana, every adult is mandated to report any suspicions of abuse. If you ever suspect a child is a victim of abuse or neglect, it's imperative to report it.
Anonymous reports are accepted, but it's crucial to note that failure to report can result in a Class B misdemeanor. If you believe a child is facing abuse or neglect, reach out to the Indiana Department of Child Services' Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline immediately. The hotline is operational around the clock, every day, ensuring no child's plea goes unheard. You have the option to report concerns anonymously.
Your proactive step could be pivotal in safeguarding a child. Don't rely on others; your call can make the difference.
