CASA Volunteer and Staff Appreciation Dinner: A Night of Gratitude and Celebration

CASA of Jefferson County recently hosted its Volunteer and Staff Appreciation Dinner on Thursday evening, September 19, 2023, at the picturesque White Barn Venue in Madison, IN. The event was a heartfelt tribute to the dedication and hard work of our CASA volunteers and staff.

The owners of the White Barn Venue, in a generous show of support for CASA's mission, graciously offered their venue at no cost for our annual appreciation dinner. Their gesture underscores the community's commitment to the children we serve.

The evening was made even more memorable with a gourmet spread by Chefferguys. Chris and his team outdid themselves, serving delectable hors d’oeuvres, a sumptuous main course, and mouth-watering desserts, treating our guests to a culinary delight.

A highlight of the evening was the recognition of Dan Hellmann for his remarkable 10 years of service as a CASA volunteer.

During his tenure, Dan has served over 45 children, making a significant impact on their lives. We were also delighted to have his wife, Stephanie, join the celebration. A supportive partner is indeed crucial in this line of work, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Stephanie for standing by Dan and supporting his commendable contributions to our community and its children.

Whitney Roberts, our Executive Director, took a moment to express her gratitude:

"Thank you, staff Brenda, Kimberly, Leah, and Jim. Every road leads back to these four individuals, and their relentless efforts ensure our mission remains sustainable and successful."

"To our CASA volunteers, you are the backbone of our organization. Without you, our mission would be incomplete. You not only keep the child's story alive but also embody the spirit of an outstanding citizen."

"A special thanks to our board members. Their unwavering encouragement and support have been instrumental in our journey. Each member's unique contribution to the CASA mission is invaluable."

The evening was a testament to the collective efforts of our community, staff, volunteers, and board members. Together, we continue to make a difference in the lives of the children of Jefferson County.
